The Organizing Continues

Today, I'd really like to encourage you guys to work a bit on sorting and organizing your inventory if you need to. I am finding ALL KINDS of buried treasures in mine - like this Tetra leather biker top. I bought this in white AND navy and hadn't even unboxed them yet!

I'm almost embarrassed to admit how many things I'm finding as I work to organize all my stuff. I usually unbox and file the same day I purchase - or at least I THOUGHT I did. This is showing me how wasteful it is to accumulate so much in one spree that some of it gets forgotten. 

If you have never even tried to organize you things, you might not know this one little trick - special characters. I use exclamation points (!), but others use other symbols. There's some sort of hierarchy as to which special characters get sorted before others. I wish I still had that cheat sheet that showed me the order of those. But... I KNOW for SURE that labeling folders with !'s makes stuff automagically float to the top of the list inside a folder - and works for folders, too! 

I actually use !'s like this:

!    ! Hair

  !    ! Wavy

  !    ! Straight

  !    ! Short

  !    ! Braids

That creates a visual "box" for me. I dunno'. It just works in my brain. If you have any sorting and categorizing hacks, LET ME KNOW! I love learning new and better ways to do things!!!
