Did you know ChicChica's sim, ChicLand, is so picturesque? I didn't! I always just TP'd straight to the store to shop my lil' heart out. But had I turned around earlier, I would have discovered a GREAT place for pictures down a tree lined city street! You guys should go check it out. It's absolutely gorgeous!

Light Practice

I'm practicing with lighting this week. I have NO idea what I'm doing yet, but I will.

I have admired SO many pics on Flickr that are lit so beautifully. Sometimes it's hard to tell if the lighting was set up in SL or done afterward in Photoshop, etc. Oh, how I WISH there was a magic wand I could wave to make my pics look as beautifully lit as those I've drooled over in my feed!

Something Diferent

Welp... I finally "built" myself a  Lellutka Evo X avi. This isn't a permanent change. More like a side project. :) 

Is it me or do you guys think like I do - the more "advanced" these enhancements get, the more confusing they get?

That sounded grouchy. I don't mean for it to. I usually love learning new things. But the way this head works challenged me more than I expected. However, I am happy with the way my first try came out. Can't wait to make some more looks with the Evo X line!

By the way - I used the Lelutka Lilly Evo X head for this version. Looking for a pretty skin and shape for the Fleur and Avalon Evo X heads if you have any recommendations. :)

New Sim Discovery

Found a new photogenic sim today! Rezz Room's Garrigua. You can't rezz there as far as I could tell, but it's still worth a look.

I didn't have time to explore the entire place, but a quick glance tells me there are TONS of areas for great photo ops if you'd like to go check it out.

A cool front came through the other night and left lower temps and lower humidity in its wake. It feels wonderful. Different. Exciting. Good Morning!

Good Morning! I woke up extra early, ran to town for coffee and now I'm back at home preparing to decorate our son's room in our new loft. Still need to work on the kitchen, but I think it's turning out nicely. The kitchen is by Pixel Mode. It's one I've had for a while but haven't used yet. I really like it in this loft setting!

Today is the first day of Fall and I'm looking forward to cooler temperatures and colorful leaves. My family isn't as excited about the changes as I am. Well, Syx is like me. He enjoys the changes. But Bryan and Myysti are warm weather kiddos who only love temps warm enough to swim in. That is, until I remind them about Christmas and bundling up for sled rides and all the fun stuff like that.

If baby Bryan's room turns out as cute as I hope it will, I'll post a pic of it. Fingers crossed!

The pups and I

I got this cozy sweater this weekend at Miss Chelsea in my weekend sales haul and I just HAD to find a place to wear it this morning. Ilha do Sol is still too warm for sweaters, so I gathered my new puppers (also adopted this weekend in my sales shopping - don't tell Syx just yet. I have to break it to him gently that we have more dogs. I can hear him groaning already!) and we went back to Luane's World at her Le Monde Perdu - Autumn sim where it was cool and sunny. After taking a walk through the colorful woods and letting the pups splash in the stream, I took this picture of us before we headed back home. I love being able to "teleport" to different worlds and experience different climates and surroundings. SL is a wonderful place. Don't you think?

Pink Makes Me Smile

My husband, Syx, knows how I feel about the color pink. It makes me giddy. I love it. 

A few days ago, I received a gift from him while he was offline. Have you ever gotten something out of the blue from someone who wasn't logged on? It feels like someone coming up and hugging you from behind.

Just... yum. To know you're being thought about even though they're not "here" with you? Love it.

So imagine the squeal of delight I let loose when I opened the gift to find this Aleutia robe in one of my favorite shades of  P I N K !!!  Can't wait for him to get here so I can spin and twirl and show this off to him! :)

Sneaking In a Taste of Fall

Although Spring is my FAVORITE season, Autumn is a close second. I've seen a lot of fall-themed clothing and decor items in my feeds lately. They have caused a yearning inside me for apple cider, pumpkin spiced ANYTHING, cozy sweaters and snuggling whilst eating s'mores by a firepit.
